Walsall Council has confirmed plans for a new Warm Walsall initiative to help struggling residents keep warm this winter. Find out more and see which organisations are taking part in the Warm Walsall Initiative.
Strep A advice
Most strep A infections are mild and easily treated, but some are more serious. The NHS website has information about symptoms to look out for, when to seek medical help and what to do in an emergency.
Flu Vaccine
Carers are entitled to a free flu vaccine. Make sure you register with your GP as a Carer so that you will be invited to vaccinations and health check-ups. The NHS lists all the pharmacies offering the flu vaccination on their website: Find a pharmacy that offers the NHS flu vaccine.
Covid-19 Booster
Those who are aged over 50, pregnant, unpaid Carers or living with certain health conditions are encouraged to get their booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics are being set up in the Black Country to encourage people to come forward for a vaccine ahead of the festive season. Full details are on the NHS Black Country ICB website. Walsall residents can search for their nearest COVID-19 walk-in vaccination site on the NHS website.
